Burkhart sponsored students this summer at a Washington Business Healthcare Week program. Business Healthcare Week is a week long opportunity where high school students learn about the business of healthcare and put to practice what they’ve learned in real-world simulations. Students are encouraged to strengthen leadership skills, work in teams, and think about their future careers. The mission of Washington Business Week is to help, “people realize their potential by creating an experience in which students, business leaders and educators partner to teach and inspire one another to be responsible employees, employers and citizens.”
Alexandra, a student that participated in Washington Business Healthcare Week, said that, “being here this week has almost ensured my decision to pursue something in the medical field. Washington Business Healthcare Week has taught me how to have desire for something I want to accomplish and I have learned what it takes to become someone in this field.”
We are happy to help our community and proud to support students who are learning how to improve their communities and themselves through this program.
