Southern Branch Manager Summit: Estes Park, CO

On June 20th to June 22nd, The Southern Branch Managers of Burkhart Dental had a Summit in Estes Park, CO.  Estes Park is located about 1 hr 1/2 outside of the Denver Airport.  It is a renown recreational area with beautiful trees, streams, lakes, rivers and parks.  It is known as the eastern entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park.  It is probably most famous for inspiring Stephen King’s “The Shining” (although not filmed there) and also for the hotel in Jim Carrey’s “Dumb and Dumber”

As we all finally made it to our lodging, one can see how this place was ideal for a few days of meetings.  Gone were the walls of a stuffy hotel meeting room.  They were replaced by the fresh crisp country air and refreshing soul cleansing water (from the tap I might add) that tasted better than any bottled water in the world.  This is a view from our room and walking to our rooms.

One can see that this was not going to be just another Manager Meeting.  Once the meeting was underway, with the topics on the agenda, everyone had something to contribute whether they’ve been with the company 1 year or 20 years.  The mix of Managers from new to experienced added such a great mix of ideas and contributions.

It was not all work and no play.  After an exhausting day of debates and best practices, it was time for fly fishing.  The Groups local fisherman, George was giving instruction to the team.

It was a great time for bonding and learning.  Best practices from the Veterans and new ideas from the newer Managers.  Lead by our fearless leader, Kathy Inman, this group had a dynamic few days of meeting.  We even came up with a new Southern Manager Salute, but that is another story for another time…
